Top 10 incredible little known natural wonders

Natural wonders are in almost every country and there is a part of the world that we all know. In this list, I've tried to compile a bunch of lesser-known wonders that are beautiful to see and are worth a visit when planning your next vacation. I chose only one wonder from each of the listed countries but this is by no means an exhaustive list. There are many more wonders in other countries to make a second list in the future. Have you visited any of these places? If so, tell us about your experience in the comments.

10 Erg Chebbi Morocco

Erg Chebbi is located in the Moroccan Sahara. It is a magnificent exhibition of sand dunes blown by the wind that transports you to another world. They extend for 22 kilometers and some of the dunes reach 150 meters. It is believed that sands cure physical pain, so Moroccans visit each year to bury themselves deep in the burning sands.

09 Bryce Canyon United States

Everyone knows the Grand Canyon but I bet most of the United States do not know about Bryce Canyon - an equally impressive range of natural amphitheatres (no canyons despite its name). Frost erosion and water erosion have created these strange pillars that carry the unusual scientific name of hoodoos.

08 Pantanal Brazil

The Pantanal is the largest wetland in the world. Aside from the beautiful scenery, the pantanal is also home to amazing (and strange) wildlife such as Capybaras (recently featured in the Top 10 unusual animal friendships) and giant ants.

07 Playa Ostional Costa Rica

If you play your cards well and plan your vacation at the right time of the year, you will see this site really amazing and rare.

06 Blue Lagoon Iceland

The waters of this magnificent geothermal lagoon lie between 37 and 39 ° C (98 and 102 ° F). It was formed as part of a lava flow and the mineral-rich waters would be good for skin conditions such as psoriasis. If you want to swim here, you will be warned: because of Iceland's strict hygiene laws, all bathers must take a bare shower in the shared showers before and after entering the water. While the lagoon itself is natural, it is filled with heated wastewater at the nearby thermal power plant.

05 Valle de la Luna Chile

By finding yourself in the Valle de la Luna, you would be easily forgiven for thinking that you miraculously landed on the Moon. An impressive range of textures and colors in the area (formed by wind and water) and dry lakes like craters give an ethereal feel to another world.

04 Colca Canyon Peru

The Colca Canyon is more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the United States and still retains its inhabitants who maintain their terraces in the pre-Inca bleachers for growing food. In addition to archaeological sites and cultural attractions, there are many spas in the area for those who want to swim in the groundwater well.

03 Wai-o-Tapu New Zealand

Wai-o-Tapu is one of the most beautiful thermal countries of New Zealand. Stretching out on a three hour walk at each bend reveals a new wonder - geysers with dazzling colorful lakes that must be considered raw. There are also mud pools and much longer bush walks available for those wishing to exercise. The champagne pool is probably the most famous attraction with its orange outer ring.

02 Jiuzhaigou Valley China

Jiuzhaigou means "nine villages" taking its name from the nine Tibetan villages found in the valley. The entire valley is filled with beautiful rivers, lakes, and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It is considered a natural wonder so important that it is classified as a World Biosphere Reserve.

01 Tsingy from Bemaraha Madagascar

The amazing limestone formations found at Tsingy de Bemaraha are the reason for its name as these formations are known as Tsingy in the native dialect. Aside from the amazing formations, you can also see preserved mangrove forests and an amazing assortment of fascinating animals and birds.
